Overview
Not at all what I expected from a bank! Easy access, spacious and very accessible.
Transport & Parking
Getting to the bank was easy on all counts. A disabled parking bay is located in the adjacent street, bus stops are outside and it's opposite Waverley Station. Not too far from the tram stop in St Andrew Square.
Access
I found getting around as a powerchair user very easy with automatic doors, level access and a good sized lift to get upstairs. The interview rooms were spacious and well laid out. Staff were quick to offer assistance when requested by my visually impaired companion. The cash machines were easy to use and to read the screen. It was noticeable that much thought had gone into the layout as the self serve terminals even had walking stick holders!
Toilets
Although not obvious the bank does have an accessible toilet should a customer require to use one. Speak to staff who will assist. The toilet was spacious and very well appointed with lots of grab rails.
Staff
Having met several staff during my visits I can only praise their consideration and knowledge. Help is available for disabled customers in a wide range of ways. Staff are able to help with things like high visibility payment cards, induction loops, online banking with BSL, talking cash machines and more.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Probably the most accessible bank I've seen to date! Not only from an environmental point of view but also the facilities and more importantly the attitude of the staff...
