Overview

Very nice small hotel to take a coffee break, or a light lunch, very clean and pleasant enough throughout. Parking was a little difficult in the fact it is a popular hotel, the three disabled bays were already full by 11.00 but other bays were handy enough. It was a nice flat push for my wife to take the wheelchair into the hotel, and everywhere we needed was on the level. we were able to get coffee at around 11.00 am, and very good too. The Sportsman’s Bar was welcoming, and nicely furnished, and later on it would seem to be a pleasant place to enjoy a light lunch of small bites, sandwiches, and of course fish and chips, served between 12.00 and 9.00 pm. The main Garden room restaurant looked very nice, lovely deco, comfortable and inviting. Lunch is served from 12.00 noon. The outside area has a small terrace in a sun trap, and the garden area was very attractive, it would have been delightful to get the chair there if weather had been better. Do take a look at our photos below for more help. A quick look at the history of the area of Bransford and this small but pleasant Bank House Hotel. Bransford itself is situated close to the river Teme in Worcestershire, with distant views of the Malvern Hills, and the village of Bransford does have a religious past, as the Bishop of Worcester, Wulstan de Bransford lived here from 1338-1349. Through the 1870’s Bransford grew quite well, and by 1881, there was a clothing and a snuff mill doing very well, but as soon as these closed, the agriculture business took over. Today, life is more steady, people with more varied types of work, and travel makes it easier for many to have work outside the area of Worcester, and the holiday trade has offered many opportunities for the local area.

Transport & Parking

Easy to find, right on a large island, but a popular place, so parking bays can get quite full. There were three disabled bays though, and it’s not far to walk anyway.

Access

Level entrance into hotel through push pull doorway, ignore the revolving door. Inside is quite level by reception and into both eating places, and ramps are where needed.
