Overview
This is a zoo that you can visit for an hour or spend the day . Lots of places to sit and eat or enjoy a coffee and easy access all round.
Transport & Parking
Lots of car parking but if the disabled bays are full you can be far enough away from the entrance for it to be quite a walk. The car parks nearest the zoo are paved but there is grass overflow parking.
Access
Good signage, you have to pay in the shop at present so there is plenty of queuing space outside. Masks are worn indoors only . It’s flat access into and out of the shop. There are good paths round most of the zoo and most paths are accessible. Lots of outdoor seating dotted around too . The show and the Bird of Prey Encounter are both accessible with designated seating .
Toilets
I didn’t use them but there are several toilets around the zoo with disabled toilets available but no changing places toilets. The toilets were clean and tidy with sanitising stations around the zoo
Staff
The staff are super friendly . Andy who narrated the Birds of Prey Encounter was charming. Just the right amount of funny and knowledgable. Restaurant servers were quick and patient and knowledgeable about the allergy menu. All the pizzas in the restaurant can be served on gluten free bases which is a bonus. The shop staff are lovely and patient with small boys !
