Overview
Staff were friendly if a little oblivious to the needs of a wheelchair user. Food was good and there's a well equipped accessible loo.
Transport & Parking
There's no parking but it's just a few minutes walk/wheel from Waterloo station and buses abound.
Access
Level access to large ground floor seating area. At lunchtime midweek we didn't book and had choice of seats, despite it being school holidays. We chose to seat near a wall so we could stow my chair nearby, but there wasn't a lot of room to manoeuvre as the tables are tightly packed. In their wisdom, the staff seated a family with two babies in high chairs next to us effectively blocking us in - the poor people had to move completely to let us out! The front door is heavy and there's a small metal threshold to negotiate. Flooring was flagstone but smooth to wheel across.
Toilets
Good loo, centrally located and clearly labelled. Clean but sadly no alarm cord. Good size with room to turn a chair and get alongside the WC.
Staff
Friendly but inconsiderate. Blocked us in with children in high chairs. Also two staff stood and chatted by the front door and cheerily said goodbye whilst my husband wrestled to steer my wheelchair through the heavy entrance door!
