Overview
Iv'e been to the Aviva Stadium a few times now for Rugby matches and I think its a fantastic stadium. Its very accessible regardless of whether you stay close by in Ballsbridge or if you choose to stay further out. Landsdowne Road DART (Irish Rail Service) station is directly across the road from the Aviva Stadium and the services are very frequent especially on match days. The view from the Wheelchair spaces around the stadium is great as its a raised above the rest of the crowd allowing for a clear view of the match, they are also covered from the elements.
Transport & Parking
I always travel to the stadium by DART or just wheel there if I'm staying in close proximity to the stadium. Disabled Parking is available but must be arranged with the event organisers (this will vary depending on the event I know for Rugby games its the IRFU but other events like concerts, and Football it will change ) beforehand as only those with parking passes will be able to access the parking.
Access
The access in and around the Aviva Stadium is excellent, there are a total of 5 accessible entrances, depending on which area of the stadium you are in, all with a number of lifts that can be used to get to your seat. There are a total of 230 wheelchair spaces in the Aviva Stadium with seated spaces beside for companions/carers. The Bar and Food outlets around the stadium all have sections with lowered counters so that people in Wheelchairs can reach.
Toilets
There are 51 accessible toilets located next to the Wheelchair spaces throughout the Stadium, they are easy to find and very spacious inside.
Staff
The staff are always very friendly and willing to assist you should you require any.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Yes definitely! Visiting again in a couple of weeks for the Leinster V Scarlets Champions Cup Semi- Final, one of my favourite Rugby Venues.
