The National Trust’s Attingham Park was built in 1785 for Noel, 1st Lord Berwick. At the heart of this 4,000 acre estate is the welcoming and impressive Georgian Mansion with its stories of love and neglect and revival and restoration, a thriving production Walled Garden and acres of Parkland. Whether you are a family looking for activities both inside and out or in search of a relaxing and inspirational visit to a historic house and parkland you’ll find it here. **The building that houses the Changing Places facility at Attingham is undergoing repair and refurbishment. The Changing Place will be open from 16-24 February, but will close for work to continue after that time***Accessibility
Level access to the basement of the Mansion, shop, Carriage House Café, welcome centre and ground floor of bookshop and accessible park pathways with some sloped areas. 20 disabled parking spaces. Visitor shuttle runs Mar – Oct (dependent upon volunteer availability, not wheelchair accessible). 2 Single-seater PMV’s available to hire. Wheelchairs available to borrow at Mansion and Visitor Reception. Inside the Mansion braille and large print guides available. The ground floor of the Mansion (on first floor level) may be accessed by a small, narrow lift (restrictions in place).
Toilets
Accessible toilet with optional left or right handed transfer at the Stable Courtyard, 175m from the car park and visitor reception and Changing Places toilet near the Mansion Tearoom (360m from Visitor Reception), accessed by radar key. There are two spare radar keys kept at Visitor Reception and one at the Mansion Tearoom. **The building that houses the Changing Places facility at Attingham is undergoing repair and refurbishment.
