Overview
Unusual to give a supermarket ten out of ten but this one really does go the extra mile for disabled customers. Parking, easy access, good toilets, a post office, friendly helpful staff.
Transport & Parking
Parking is good and level access. Buses travel along the nearby main road and Lothian Buses No. 35 stops near the store. Slateford railway station is about 300m from the store.
Access
Disabled access was good with level easy access from the car park. If arriving by bus it's a short distance from the Corn Exchange bus stop. The doors into the store are automated. There is an in store Post Office with easily accessible counters. The store has toilet, a baby changing room, and an accessible toilet. Staff are very helpful and there is a dedicated wide aisle checkout for wheelchair users. Staff were happy to help with shopping. There was plenty of room to get around and the range of items in the store included everything from clothing, to DIY, food and groceries.
Toilets
The accessible toilet was near the checkouts and had a wide easy to manage door, grab rails, and plenty of space. It was clean and tidy. Dropped a point as the door was obstructed by abandoned shopping trolleys.
Staff
Staff were excellent and happy to help.
