Overview
For disabled travellers arriving in central station and needing a taxi, do not use the station taxi rank, the only regulated taxi's in the city have a red "TCA" sigh on the roof and do not use the station rank. If possible cross the square in front of the station and hail one from the road. TCA cabs are regulated by the city council and use a meter, the taxis parked on the rank look official (they are white and have a taxi sign but no red TCA badge) and they target tourists. These cabs are avoided by the locals. Amsterdam is a great city and well worth exploring.
