Overview
A fantastic accessible restaurant within the Scottish Whisky Experience and just yards from Edinburgh castle.
Transport & Parking
It is a little difficult to get parked close to the restaurant as it is on the Royal Mile, but I managed to get parked on Johnston Terrace. There are 2 disabled bays here, which are very handy.
Access
The disabled access for the restaurant is fantastic. Really clear signage, lift access to the restaurant and level access from the front door.
Toilets
The loo was very easy for me to find and had all that I needed, with handrails etc. It was very clean and modern inside, and had obviously had some investment. It would be useful if it was a little bigger though.
Staff
I was very impressed by every staff member that we met. We had a few questions about the area etc and they couldn't have been more helpful. Fantastic!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The Amber restaurant is very good value for money. Haggis, neeps and tatties costs less in here than a sandwich does elsewhere. A great place to go for food while on the mile.
