Perfect place for a wonderful holiday

Overview
A holiday lodge in a beautiful setting with disabled access that has really been thought through, and it hasn't lost charm for convenience. Carrbridge is also a great town for disable access, with an accessible treetop walk at the Landmark Park, and and the local horse and carriage rides due to launch a wheelchair friendly carriage at the end of 2017.
Transport & Parking
There is parking though the driveway is quite gravelly and a bit bumpy when in a wheelchair. There is a train station in town, but I didn't see it.
Access
No hearing loop or braille as far as I could see, hence the half star, but we weren't travelling with anyone who needed one. Except for a tiny lip y the front door, everything on the ground floor is on a single even floor. (There is an upper floor not suitable for people with mobility issues, but for other travellers.)
Toilets
There's a fully accessible bathroom adjoining the accessible bedroom (there are several rooms, one of which is kitted out as accessible). It has a shower with a custom wheelchair for washing, and a hoist which takes someone directly from sitting in bed over to the jacuzzi bath. The only criticism is that there could be more grab rails.
Staff
n/a - it's a self catering holiday lodge - but the people who manage it were very friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I would absolutely plan to visit again - not everything is accessible, but it makes a fantastic group holiday where a single person has accessibility needs.
