Overview
Accessible Boating is a charity that operates fully accessible canal boats and is well worth a visit. We arrived to a warm welcome, parked next to the boat. It is no longer possible to just hire the boat without 2 volunteers so you get a fully supported trip
Transport & Parking
Gravel carpark 20m from the boat but with a blue badge you can arrange to be dropped next to the boat and then move your vehicle 5m away from the canal edge.
Access
Loose ramp deployed to access the rear deck of the boat then a lift descends to the covered interior.
Toilets
Space is a premium so not all large electric wheelchairs would fit.
Staff
Highly trained and experienced helpers who also have a wealth of information about the Canal.
