Great Site for Hotel When Visiting Dublin
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Mobility Scooter
Overview
Found just off O'connell Street (One of main shopping streets) in central Dublin - within couple of miles of most sites. Fully wheelchair accessible.
Transport & Parking
I got a bus (has accessible space for 1 scooter) from the airport. This stops nearby.
Access
If you have any difficulty (it is unlikely as doors are not heavy) then staff at the reception open the door for you. On the ground floor (all floors are level) is an accessible toilet, a number of tables and seats and a restaurant/cafe. There are three rather large lifts to use to get upstairs to your room.
Toilets
Lock in ground floor toilet was broken but reception said it will be fixed. There are also larger accessible toilets in each accessible room. These have numerous wall bars and are large enough for an assistant/carer and also to manouvre your scooter/wheelchair around.
Staff
All seemed friendly and all 3/4 on reception were eager to help whenever required (moving and storing luggage, booking transport for outside, etc)
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Free breakfast included in booking, prime site, fully accessible and comfortable. If visiting dublin again would definitely use this hotel.
