Overview
This is a very large old style market that sells everything from fresh fruit and veg, Fresh Fish and meat and many other items as well. The market is well know in the local area and was being used by local people and visitors as well.
Transport & Parking
The market is in a pedestrian area and as a result there is no parking near to this venue. The Blackpool tram system nearest stop would be Tower or North Pier this is a good 10mins walk away
Access
There are two ways in to the market the main door is on Abington St and there is a back door as well. both are wide to allow a wheelchair to pass through them There is a times a lack of space between some of the stall due to goods on display. The lighting in the market is okay but not what you get in a modern building.
Toilets
There was no toilets available that we could see.
Staff
The only stall we did some shopping at was fine but not much talking done
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a bit like a step back in time as it is an older market however it is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
