Overview
Aberdeen Maritime Museum is one of the must to go if you are visiting Aberdeen. The place is very accessible friendly. There is also a shop and a cafe inside, both very accessible for people who may want to grab a snack or take a souvenir of the lovely museum with them. The museum doesn't get 5 stars because the old part of the building (small part of it) is not accessible, only the newest part of the building is accessible, however the majority of the important things of the museum are in the newest side.
Transport & Parking
The availability for parking is not the best. There aren't parking spaces around the building. Disabled parking spaces are available outside The Robert Gordon University, which is located next to Aberdeen Art Gallery.
Access
Very accessible building, there is a lift to go to each one of the 4 floors of the museum. In the top floor there are great views of the port, if the day is sunny the view are just astonishing!:), another reason to visit the museum:). There are two entrances to the building and both of them are fully accessible. They have ramps on each floor to make easier to reach every corner of the museum. They also have a spare wheelchair just in case any customer might need it.
Toilets
There are two accessible loos, one of them downstairs and the other one in the second floor of the museum, both of them are easy to access through the lift and easy to find due to the clear signs. The loos are big enough and very clean and tidy.
Staff
Very professional and helpful, they tend to have staff on each floor to assist on any need that you might have.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Definitely I would recommend this place to future visitors.
