Overview
We booked ahead, which is advisable as this restaurant is extremely busy; probably more so as it was a Friday and the end of the month. The staff had a table reserved for us and the wheelchair fitted right under, which was great. The drinks order was taken promptly and, shortly after, we ordered our food. We were politely told there would be a 15 minute wait which was no problem as we had arrived early for our booking. One of my friends had battered haddock and it overlapped the plate! My brother-in-law had steak pie for a 'small appetite' and he said would have hated to have seen the size of a full-size portion. This is the place to go for people with a healthy appetite! The food was excellent and so was the price.
Transport & Parking
There are three disabled places opposite the entrance. They are not angled to the wall and you might have a problem with a WAV with a ramp.
Access
Permanent ramp up to the entrance but you need a carer to open the door.
Toilets
Well signposted. You can get a wheelchair inside without any problem. Fully fitted with grabrails.
Staff
There were plenty of staff for the crowded restaurant. No-one seemed to be kept waiting - we certainly weren't. The staff were friendly and courteous.
