23 The Grill, Barnoldswick
Visit date:
Overview
An accessible restaurant with good, healthy food, friendly staff and a feeling of community. Highly recommended.
Transport & Parking
Parking available on the street front by 23 The Grill- a couple of which are disabled. If unavailable, there is a short stay car park behind the establishment about 100 yards away with plenty of spaces.
Access
Plenty of space between the tables for those with mobility aids to navigate around. Both booths and tables for ease of access for a variety of needs. Font on menus are large print but no braile menus available- possibly due to it being a small local establishment. No step into the cafe and all one one floor which is level and easy to walk on.
Toilets
Accessible toilet very easy to find. Plenty of room for carers/manoeuvring with chairs. Pull down grab rails next to toilet. Tap may be awkward to use due to small button rather than handle. Well lit, clean, and tidy.
Staff
Staff friendly and helpful. Seen to help a blind man with ordering from the menu, buttering his toast for him etc.
