This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair
Overview
Wheelchair accessible with level floor throughout. Great food and very friendly, helpful staff. Has accessible loo, only downside is the loo is right at the back, along a short corridor and through a very heavy door. There's on street parking right outside. I've visited in my chair and also walking with a wheeled walking aid.
Transport & Parking
Buses available though didn't note nearest stop. Parking on street. Two blue badge spaces just outside and to left of venue. Two more round corner. It's a busy area so spaces are in demand though we've found a space on all four visits here. Spaces outside don't benefit from dropped kerb so care needed.
Access
Nice level wooden floor in main cafe. Smooth walk in. Two tables outside for four/six each. Several tables just inside door. Main seating area through another door (was open on our visits), where you place drinks/food orders. Staff were plentiful and attentive. Main issue for me was distance to loo and door to negotiate.
Toilets
Clean and well equipped loo (handrails etc but no alarm cord). Bit of a trek to it but pleased there was one. If door from rear of cafe to corridor where loos are could swing open both ways (it's awkward to open a heavy door in wheelchair, even for a carer) or have push button opening, it would be brilliant. Would be plenty of room for wheelchair in loo had wooden chair not been in there - if moved, wheelchair could have fitted alongside WC.
Staff
Staff ultra friendly. Didn't need help as accompanied but feel sure they would have assisted if needed. Really welcoming to my dog.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Highly recommended. Dogs welcome inside and outside.
