Overview
Access to the City Art Centre is good and starts from the dedicated door for mobility impaired visitors. A lift takes visitors to all floors and there's plenty of space to move around and see everything.
Transport & Parking
Parking near the City Art Centre is limited. There is some on street parking and Blue Badge holders may find space on yellow lines. The Art Centre is immediately outside the Market Street entrance of Waverley Station, so is good for trains. Buses don't stop nearby and you would probably have to walk from Princes Streetwhich is about 500 m.
Access
Accessibility is good and has been built into the design of the Centre which was renovated in the early 1990's.
Toilets
An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor adjacent to the shop and cafe. It has a wide door, grab rails, and lowered fittings.
Staff
Staff were very helpful. Particularly impressed with the assistance in managing the automated (button press) doorway to enter and exit the Centre.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Lots of floors to visit with the lift taking you to all levels plus the ground floor. Exhibits well presented and easy to see.
