November Review Roundup

An electric Wheelchair user and a walker wheeling and walking the Craster to Dunsburgh Castle path

Welcome to the November 2024, Review Roundup. We have a great selection of different reviews to share with you this month and also some new venues to share with our community. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time this month to leave a review. We couldn't do what we do without our army of amazing volunteers so thank you so much.

Places to Visit

Mossedge Village in Paisley was visited by HOGGY67 who is one of our new reviewers and had a fabulous first visit. They are a regular visitor to the venue but chose to do their first review here. ‘Great access, automatic doors, nice and level outside and on, good parking, disabled spaces can be hard to get on a Saturday morning when there is football on. Food is tremendous’ !!! Thank  you HOGGY67 we look forward to seeing more of your reviews on Euan’s Guide

If you live near Anwick and are lookng for an accessible place to walk with family and friends, JonWatkins recommends a roll along the coastal path from Craster to Dunsburgh Castle John mentions in his review that some areas of the path are quite bumpy and muddy but it is possible to pass by these areas by going onto the grass verge in your wheelchair. ‘ The track up to the castle was too bumpy but more able people could walk the last little bit. It was dry so on the few section where the path was too bumpy or muddy it was easy to pass on the wide grass areas. There were a few gates to get through but all were wide enough for easy access’

LornsAlex I was taking time to review the post office in Elgin. He comments ’It's spacious and well laid out with a wide opening door for wheelchair/scooter users.’ It is great to see our reviewers Sharing every day essential venues as well as leisure venues. Both types of reviews are really helpful to our community.

World Toilet Day 2024

At Euan’s Guide on the 19th of November we celebrated world toilet day. We know how important Accessible toilets are for any visit when you’re out and about. We have had two reviews this month from DistropyDad who is also our Community Manager Joe1 he has reviewed two different changing places toilets in two different venues. In both reviews he points out that venues need to advertise that they have changing places toilets as this can be a real bonus for a disabled person visiting a venue. You can read both reviews. Hampden Park Changing Places Toilet  and Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries  We would encourage Venues to include as much detail as possible when they are listed on our website. This will help disabled visitors make the most of their visit.
