North Berwick Beach Wheelchairs and the Seabird Centre
The Euan's Guide team and Ambassadors visited North Berwick last week to have a catch up and take part in some filming we're working on for Euan's Guide.
We were treated to a wonderful talk from the staff at North Berwick Seabird Centre, who told us which types of birds we could expect to see at the beach, and how there are lots of types of crabs that live in seaweed and shores. We were all pretty surprised to learn that the hermit crab will simply take any shell available to them, from old snail shells to empty cans!
The Beach Wheelchairs team were really friendly and helpful and got us ready for a stroll along the beach on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year so far - we couldn't have planned a trip to the beach any better! Everyone had a brilliant time, with one of our Ambassadors saying it was their first trip to the beach in ten years. What a day for it!
We enjoyed lunch at the Seabird Centre, and a few of us simply had to have an ice cream before heading home to our various locations across Scotland.
Huge thanks to the Seabird Centre, North Berwick Beach Wheelchairs and our amazing Ambassadors for joining us.
