Every summer, Edinburgh plays host to some of the best festivals in the world. The Edinburgh International Festival, the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the Edinburgh Art Festival, all call Scotland’s capital their home. The city becomes a hive of art, performance, and culture.
Edinburgh Art Festival
In collaboration with artists, museums, and some of the best galleries in the city, this month-long Art Festival, running from July 25th to August 25th this year, is a haven for art lovers, casual fans and aficionados alike. They have a host of commission programs, and partner exhibitions with some amazing galleries and art-spaces.

Edinburgh International Festival
From 2nd to 26th of August, the Edinburgh International Festival will be in full swing with performances from the best performers of music, dance and theatre in the world. Classical music is world-class at this festival so if you’re a music lover, there will be something for you!

Edinburgh Festival Fringe
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world, with performers ranging from plays, to musicals, to dancing, to fire-eaters. There are all sorts of accessible events to attend between 2nd and 26th August, including captioned, signed, audio described and relaxed performances. This year the Fringe have also highlighted particular shows where sight or hearing is not required. Edinburgh International Book Festival
Some of the world’s best authors, journalists, illustrators, and storytellers will descend on Edinburgh between 10th and 26th of August this year, showcasing their work and thoughts on issues of today.
