Socialising, being an adventurer and working at Euan’s Guide are just some of the things I devote my time to; and it just so happens that I have Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a condition I was diagnosed with in 2003.

As a powerchair user, it can be difficult to find accessible places to go, even if it’s just for a coffee with friends. I’ve often had to rely on trial and error or hours of web searching and phone calls before choosing where to visit. This can be frustrating and time-consuming due to the lack of disabled access information out there, and I realised that I couldn’t be alone in my search. I knew other disabled people would be able to recommend accessible places to go, and I was very keen to hear from them, their families and carers.

This idea became Euan’s Guide, the disabled access review website where people share their own experiences of disabled access wherever they go. Euan’s Guide aims to be a friendly, honest and empowering alternative to hours of web searching and phone calls, and most importantly we hope it will remove the ‘fear of the unknown’ when visiting a venue for the first time.
